What are food groups?

In the method timeline you saw see the recommended order of following the plan. I also mentioned ‘food groups’. Food groups are the absolute core of this method. They have been created by assigning every single food item to one of the groups, based on the food’s composition in terms of protein, fat or carbohydrates. With the correct serving size, the items within each food group are similar enough to each other that it is possible to swap items within the group. You can see the 8 food groups listed here.
